Will We As A Nation Recover From Our Economic Madness

America is in a financial crisis, and the American people are furious.  America faces a crisis like we haven’t seen since the Great Depression.  At the center core is our deficit as of 2009 of 1.4 trillion dollars, we are also running a 2010 deficit of 1.6 trillion dollars. And more of the same is expected for the  next four to eight years.

Those now buying our public debt will eventually stop purchasing our Treasury Bills or start demanding higher interest for their risk of default. China as of December  has  begun to sale  45 billion dollars of the 790 billion that they had of U.S. Treasury Bills. Does this mean that the Chinese are scare that we may be pro-longing inevitable possible default  just like Greece.

On the other hand we continue to pour money out to help out the entire world. Like our commitment to Cap and Trade.  Or more spending on wars abroad, while here at home we don’t protect our own borders. Which is evident by the estimated 20 to 30 million illegal immigrant.

Or the Health Care Reform legislation that will make it mandatory for Americans to buy in, while the Insurance Companies takes in an additional 20 to 30 million new customers. The illegal of course! Lets not forget GM and Chrysler.  Plus states like California that are bankrupted, who eventually every citizen in the U.S, will have to pay for their mismanagement.

Or if you live in S.Florida, your county will be spending billions of tax payers money to build a new Baseball Stadium, for a team that only get 10 to 15 thousand fans per home game. All this while the rest of us are just trying to stay afloat.

So the most likely solution would be to  increase the tax revenue  through growth in our economy, which would increase the revenues flowing through our treasury and reduces the outpouring for programs like unemployment insurance.  So how do they do that?  If your the Democrats and President Obama, you increase government. As they have as of now,  you make the American people dependent on government jobs as the the only source of new employment opportunity.

Or you can make available loans for small businesses. Who by and large employ the majority of Americans here at home.  You can make trade deals that will favor American businesses, and give incentives to companies that create jobs here at home for Americans.  You can pass legislation that will make  it more attractive for American companies to bring back manufacturing jobs that pay well, back to the U.S. This would be a good start.

If the American people are mad, it’s our elected officials fault for allowing one bad policy after the other to take place. Only they could think that after bailing out the ones who they allowed by not regulating and turning their eyes the other way, while they were  scheming new ways to satisfy their own personal greed. Only at the end to say that they are,  “too big to fail”. Then they wonder why the American tax payer is upset.? How many small businesses have gone under in the last three years? How many of them got bailed out? None!

See this is exactly the problem, the American tax payer has to live within it budget, but the U.S. government doesn’t! All they have to do is borrow more or tax us more. It works out just fine for them, they don’t have to play by the rules  like the rest of us.

So their solution will probably be to take a whack at the three big entitlement programs of Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid.  And the only place to get revenues is by increasing taxes on the middle class.

Isn’t this great, the crooks on Wall Street, gets bailed out at American tax payer expense. They continue to go along as if nothing had ever happened, while “we the people” are left holding the bag. Yet they wonder why all the demonstration why all the anger.

Here lies the real problem, the Republicans want to get back  the control that they lost for their  irresponsible behavior while their party had control. So they will fight hard and pretend that they are for us, the American tax payer. The only problem is that Americans are waking up to the fact that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats cares about “we the people”, they are just in it for their own financial gains and for their political advancement.

Our Hope and Change Citizen of the World President Obama, after one year has proven that he is as capable as our last president George Bush. All he has accomplished to do is apologize to the world for how bad America has behaved. Obama like Bush have proven to the American people that just because one goes to the finest Universities in America or the World, it doesn’t mean that they will have any common sense. Unless their goals are to bankrupt the nation!

The Democrats are proving themselves to be just as good or even better at selling out Americans to special interest. They talk a good game, telling the American people how they are for the working man, when in reality their party under Bill Clinton sold the American worker out. With NAFTA and Most Favored Nation Status with China.

In addition to not calling a terrorist by name, and wanting to give them the same Miranda Rights as American citizens. Demanding to have civilian trials which will further add to our debt, instead of military trials. They just don’t get it.

The Democrats have proven once again, to be out of touch with the everyday American. They as a party are fascinated with the politics of division. They can’t seem to understand that Americans voted not for them but rather against the Republicans, in 2006-08.

If they would only open their eyes and see how the last three elections has gone to the Republicans, they would understand that Americans don’t want to travel with them down the road in which they are leading us into Socialism. We like our freedom, we are Americans and don’t want to be enslaved by neither the Democrats or the Republicans or any world government.

  1. You make a lot of sense here, TSTS. Only when we realize that core problem is not “liberals” or “conservatives,” but instead the entrenched political class will we liberate ourselves from this fiscal juggernaut.

We blew past the point where we can solve the federal government’s fiscal woes solely through spending cuts 10 or 20 years ago. There is no sane plan to cut spending by $1.6 trillion annually. Our only is find leaders who we can trust to reduce the scope of government while we grit out teeth and send the money to pay off our debts. Neither Democrats nor Repubicans have remotely earned that trust.

  2. Dear Author,

it is always interesting to see how the “new class” of “Starve-the Beast” Republicans forget that their hero and God, Ronald Reagan, in his early years increased tax revenue with “Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsbility Act” of 1983.

Of course cutting taxes is a lot easier than cutting spending even for these Republicans. Case in point: the right fails to end tax subsidies i.e. coporate welfare for the most profitable industry in the world: Big Oil. Cutting corporate welfare goes against every capitalist principle outlined by Adam Smith. But of course, Big Oil is one of the biggest financeers of the Republican party. No one of bites the hand that feeds it after all.

A similar situation with cap and trade. This program just like the individual mandate in healthcare uses MARKET forces to show the REAL cost of polution, incentivizing the polluter and consumer to choose more efficient sources of energy.

The above article is a farce and betrays every capitalist principle. Shame on you! But of course, it is easy to write uninspired prose devoid of logic and fact. It’s just sad that so many Americans are as unedcuated and unwilling to realize that the US is a MIXED economy which includes the so -hated “socialist” ideas. I wonder how many tea party fanatics are receiving social security checks each and every month while they at the same time protest the same system that keeps them fed (and which they paid into).

Hypocracy at its finest. This is one of the reasons why I would never ever vote for the current group or ideas of the Republican party. The tea party is new on the block and needs to mature and educate themselves. Ignorance is bliss after all. The latest victim of “Starve-the-Beast” tyranny: Senator Coburn. For even Mr. Coburn realized that some ideas are not just radical (or “brave” as some ideologs call it), but right out dangerous and blindingly stupid.

It is unforgivable that party that was once lead by the venerable Dwight Eisenhower now acts like a monopolist ready and very willing to put cooprate interests before its citizens. President Eisenhower first and foremost believed that spending cuts (for example, in Defenzse) AND revenue increases (yes, that means taxes) is the way to fiscal sanity.

    • I would Bob! In a heart beat end ALL CORPORATE WELFARE!!!
