TALLAHASSEE — As he positions himself to the center in the U.S. Senate race, Gov. Charlie Crist on Friday vetoed a measure requiring most women to pay for an ultrasound and hear a description of the fetus before they can have an abortion. This bill places an inappropriate burden on a woman seeking to terminate a pregnancy,” Crist said in his veto message.
The measure would have required most women to have an ultrasound performed before having an abortion, unless the woman can prove she is a victim of rape, incest, domestic violence or human trafficking. Women could opt out of viewing the ultrasound by signing a form.
He has proven that he can’t be trusted, Charlie will do anything that he can to get elected. Come this November we will see if his “Hypocritical” ways pays off for him or not. People like Charlie Crist are the reason our country has been going down the wrong path. You have leaders who’s views changes, depending on how the wind is blowing. If they can’t get the support of their political party, what do they do? An “Arlen” or from this moment on it will be known as a “Charlie.”
Charlie you’re a disgrace to all honorable people who work hard to try to make things right, you’re an embarrassment to the Republican Party, and I’m glad that this in fact is happening to them. This is one of the reasons I left the party right after H.W. got elected and went back on his words, “read my lips, no new taxes” he couldn’t be trusted, the same way that many within the party can’t either.
So far all of you Republicans that think that it’s wise to have a bigger tent to attract more people into the party, let this be another example of why that logic doesn’t hold water. Either the Republican party will stand for traditional Conservatives values or it will tailor to the likes of the Arlen’s and Charlie’s of this world. Quality will go a lot further than quantity, but I guess the Republican Party just has to learn the hard way.
